Ali Müller-Goncalves: „My destiny has found me.“
Ali Müller-Goncalves says that she wasn’t actually looking at all. Not for love. Not for a new direction. And yet life has led her exactly there.
„It wasn’t at all the way I would have thought that you might find your destiny, but my destiny found me.“
The turning point? A lunch with a colleague. A conversation, an impulse – and suddenly a planned trip to Spain turns into a trip to Portugal. A decision made in the moment that changed everything.

Ali Müller-Goncalves: Love at eye level – and in everyday life
In the retreat she meets Pedro, her current husband – surf instructor, sun person, soul mate.

„We in Germany always like to have body distance, also from each other. […] And with the Portuguese kisses, it was a bit too touchy for me at the beginning.“ – Ali Müller-Goncalves
Over time, she has become accustomed to the warm, physical interaction – and today she sees the differences as a valuable addition.
„I think it’s a good balance, a good balance to these strict Germans, the rules, the order, the structure and the eternally punctual.“
Ali Müller-Goncalves: Working together, growing together
Ali and Pedro work, live and raise together – an everyday life that sounds unimaginable to many. Also for her earlier:
„I never thought it was possible, but it is very possible and we are still here.“ – Ali Müller-Goncalves
Of course there are conflicts – but also great harmony in the most important things:
„In the really important things, in the foundations, in the values, in the mission and vision. And we always agree on this provision.“
Ali Müller-Goncalves: Retreat as a space for reconnection
